Irregular heart beat - is a very complex part of cardiology. Human heart works during the whole life. It contracts and relaxes from 50 to 150 times a minute.  During the systole phase the heart contracts, supplying blood flow and delivery of oxygen and nutrient rich elements to the whole organism. During the systole phase the heart rests.  That is why, it is very important that heart contracts at the same intervals. If the systole phase is shortened, the heart doesn’t have time to adequately supply organism with blood and oxygen. If diastole phase is shortened - the heart doesn’t have enough time to rest.  Irregular heart rhythm

conductivity – very often leads to complications of cardiovascular disease. Most common irregular heart beat types are:

 -extrasystole (extra contraction)

 -cardiac fibrillation (completely irregular beat)

-and paroxysmal tachycardia (sudden increase of frequency of heart beat, from 150 to 200 beats a minute).

Classification of irregular heart beat is very complex.  Arrhythmia and blockages can occur in any part of conductive system of the heart. Their type depends on the location of arrhythmia and blockage.  Extrasystoles or cardiac fibrillation are felt by patient as heart beats or heart beats more rapidly than usual and irregularities in the heart occur. If the patient feels sinking of heart, heart stoppage and suffers from dizziness and loss of consciousness, most probably the patient has heart beat blockage or brachycardia (slow pulse).
